Summer-long Celebration Planned for Charlottetown's Waterfront

The City of Charlottetown entered into a licensing agreement with P.E.I. 2014 Inc. to use the city’s waterfront park as the 2014 Celebration Zone, turning Confederation Landing Park into an arts, music and culture hotspot every day from May to September next year.

The city is paying tribute to its role in the establishment of Canada with a year-long celebration of the 150th anniversary of the 1864 Charlottetown Conference – a critical event that brought Canada closer to confederation.

Events will be family-friendly and free, featuring performers from both Prince Edward Island and the rest of Canada.
