A Wall Street Journal article recently declared Toronto, Ontario as the best place in Canada to build a start-up. The article drew on the results of Startup Genome’s Startup Ecosystem Report from 2013. Toronto is Canada’s largest city and it also ranked 8th in the world.
Investors from the United States and overseas are recognizing the world-class network of support for start-up businesses in Toronto including multiple universities, the community, government programs and local and Canadian investors.
The article also highlighted that Canada topped world rankings for the highest proportion of college-educated residents, based on findings by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
